Description
‘Mangal' means that auspicious and ‘sutra' suggests that thread. Mangalsutra is a sacred thread of black beads which is it's tied by the groom around the bride's neck during the marriage rituals as symbol of their union. It's half of Sola Sringar (the sixteen adornments) of the bride and mirror the marital standing of a woman.
